According to The Alcalde, “In his 37-year military career, Admiral William McRaven went on top-secret missions as a Navy SEAL, rose to the rank of four-star admiral, commanded the military’s joint special operations, and led the mission that killed Osama bin Laden.”
Admiral McRaven was also a featured speaker at the “Intelligence Reform and Counterterrorism after a Decade: Are We Smarter and Safer?” conference held at the University of Texas in October 2014. The event brought together top intelligence officials and was co-sponsored by the Clements and Strauss Centers.
