Alejandra Gonzalez is a senior at The University of Texas majoring in Government with a minor in History and a certificate in National Security awarded by the Clements Center for National Security. She is a 2019 Spring Archer Fellow and a Liberal Arts Honors student. Alejandra is passionate about helping people especially minorities in Texas, and is studying Arabic to help assist in humanitarian crises in the Middle East. Her interest include subnational threats that emerge from refugees and migrant movements in the Middle East, West Africa, and Mexico. Alejandra’s previous experience includes working in the Texas Senate with Senator Jose Mendez, Annie’s List, the Beto for Texas campaign, and the Equal Justice Center. After graduating Alejandra plans on attending law school to obtain her J.D. in international and immigration law, as well as enrolling in a dual degree program to obtain her M.A. in global relations.
