Holly is a Ph.D. Candidate studying U.S. foreign policy, the British Empire and the Modern Middle East and is writing her dissertation on the history of the Middle East petroleum industry. She holds a B.S. in Radio-TV-Film with highest honors, a B.A. in Middle Eastern Studies with highest honors and special honors in the Middle East, and an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from UT-Austin where she was a Distinguished Scholar in the College of Communication and in the College of Liberal Arts. She also holds an M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University. She speaks French and Arabic and has published essays on terrorism and the global jihad with Columbia University Press and on the Israeli settlement movement with Israel Affairs.
