Bryan Port

Mr. Bryan Port serves as the Deputy Director of the Commander’s Action Group, U.S. Army Futures Command. From 2017 to 2019 Mr. Port was in the Defense Senior Leader Development Program, earning a Masters in National Security Strategy from the National War College and serving a year-long assignment at the Office of Net Assessment, Office of the Secretary of Defense. Previously, he served as the Senior Adviser for Strategic Communication and then the Director of Strategy for U.S. Forces Korea (USFK), Combined Forces Command (CFC), and United Nations Command (UNC) in the Republic of Korea (ROK) from 2009-2017. Prior to this and dating back to 1995, Mr. Port served in a variety of capacities as an intelligence officer, both active duty in the Army and as a civil servant. This included operational, staff and leadership assignments in the United States, ROK, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Mr. Port has received awards including the Joint Meritorious Civilian Service Medal, DIA Meritorious Civilian Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Civilian Service Medal; as well as commendations by the U.S. Secretary of Defense and ROK Minister of National Defense. He has completed the Harvard Senior Executive Fellowship program, the Defense Language Institute’s Korean Language program, and multiple operational and leadership courses. He is an earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from of the University of California at Santa Cruz and Master’s Degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University. He speaks Korean, and has training in multiple other languages.
